LOL, yes, the guy that is, was the drummer for Cream and Blind Faith. :)
Yes you do resemble him.

This is the first time I have taken the time to look at the word of the day.
I can't see anyone answering the questions yet the side bar says that 500 thousand viewers have read the entries!

I was interested in the word eponym; some of the answers are obvious, can you give us the answers to the others.

"Louis Pasteur
Moses
Jesus
Washington, D. C.
Apollo
George Boole
Louis Braille
John Philip Sousa
William Miller
Yogi the Bear"

Pasteurization
Musaic
Christian? there must be another one
. . .
Boolian
Braille
Sousaphone
Millerite
???

Syntony noun; Syntonic adj.

The condition of being syntonic, or ‘tuned’ so as to respond to one another, as two electric circuits.

(Physics) State of being adjusted to a certain wave length; agreement or tuning between the time period of an apparatus emitting electric oscillations and that of a receiving apparatus, esp. in wireless telegraphy. –Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary, 1913

Quotes:

“… syntony can be described as chiming in with others.” –Theory of Levels of Emotional Development, Dabrowsik and Piechowski, 1977

“The Empathy Exercise – From Conflict to Syntony. This appendix presents a loving way to resolve misunderstandings with someone close to you.” Totally fit Living, Robert Kronemeyer, 1996

“Official demographer hasten to point out that high mortality rates were already a feature of the Brezhnev period, while low fertility rates are after all a sign of social advance, in syntony with Western Europe” -London Review of Books, 25 Jan. 2007, p.12

“…the Secretary of State publicly reminded the station that it should remain ''in syntony'' with the policies of the Holy See. ...” –Sept. 21, 1989, Alan Riding, NYTimes

“We are apt to look upon the well-balanced syntonic as the normal individual, at peace with himself and in harmony with the environment; while the individual dominated by the schizoid mechanism is usually considered abnormal or psychopathic. The schizoid individual, however, may have the grater social value. While the syntonic finds out nothing new and wishes no improvement, and is content with his environment, the schizoid maintains his independence and follows his own goal.” Problems of Personality, Page 72 by C. Macfie Campbell. 1999

Hey D. Allen, we must be living in syntony. I was just thinking about you earlier today, and thinking I would post a word here.
