Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

The new earth sounds like an interesting place but I have no interest in sitting around for a thousand years mulling over all the devils and "wicked people"'s records trying to decide how many days they have to burn to be adequately punished! You can have my share of that job! By the way is that 1000 Earth years or 1000 Heaven years? ....mel

Hello All

Heaven... As I have studied the lesson this week I have seen a number of things about God
His government and the way he handled the whole sin problem. One scripture that comes to
mind is Nahum 1:9, this passage says that "affliction will not rise up a second time"
What exactly does this mean? I believe that with Christ's sacrifice on the cross and
the story of our redemption it will settle in the courts of heaven and all throughout
the universe the question of God's Justice , and his sovereignty.

And even if you should ever forget we will contemplate the science of salvation through
our study of the Cross, and it will ever illuminate our understanding of God's love.
Romans 8:39 ".......nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from
the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." The love of God is most fully
seen in the Christ ,and nothing can separate us from that love.

I think that sin won't rise up a second time because everyone in the universe will have that horrid memory of what took places when Satan tried that trick.

It's somewhat like a time when a person does something that hurts him/her. In most cases, that person won't repeat whatever he/she did.

In addition, the redeemed will be studying God's handling of the sin problems throughout the ages of eternity. Not that studying will be all they do. We'll be building and planting and traveling throughout the universe. I suspect there will be plenty of science lessons, too - not the kind where you have to study it whether you want to or not.
