I think there is something being overlooked here. When God made Adam and Eve, what was His instruction? "Be fruitful and increase in number; Fill the earth and subdue it..." Genesis 1:26
So, had there been no sin, the time would have come when that was accomplished -- when the earth would have been fully populated. There being no death I believe that the time would have come when there would have been no more births, and they, too would have lived as "the angels in heaven". Just my thoughts. Do you have any other answer for the question?

Heaven has a very different standard than one or a few you have intimacy with(emotional and spiritual not sex). Its about SERVING other. Giving yourself completely to the universe of Gods delighted creation. Your affections to GOD will be SURPREME and your affections to others(all others not just a few) will be impartial. Does that clik in the most remotest part of your sinful head? Goodness gracious!
I think we are on the same wave length here.

...and let me say something else to the meathead kind of thinking that we must be men or woman who engage in whoopie in heaven or the new earth. Adam is called the son of GOD in Luke 3:38. Dont we as Bible believing christians understand we are called the children of GOD (1st John 3:1)! The Angels are not called this! and perhaps the other orders of being thruout the universe are not called this either. GOD became HUMAN and now sitting on the throne. Is it lost on us what indeed what we will be in heaven and the new earth? We will be His playing children in the royal sandbox of heaven. We will be the little GOD rugrats on the Fathers Castle's swingsets. We will be the little chips off the OL GOD block having sleep overs together for eternity. and people are crying about no sex????????????????

You know what? I've actually thought about that. It does make sense Beryl.

Beryl So, we are assuming this small speck of matter in the universe, which has continued to grow and expand, is the only one that God was going to populate with his latest creation, a perfect set of humans. ARe we assuming that this was the only time humans had been introduced to a newly created environment. I could go on and on with the questions, which we don't have answers to. But I see no reason to not believe that life as created by God would not go on in its same form and abilities.

... never has it been so hard to just take the Bible for what it is, and trust the simple words of Jesus. *sigh* Yes, it's hard for us to accept that things will be BETTER there than here, even in that department! We need to remember that "eyes have not seen, nor ears heard".

As has been said and pointed out many times, Bible scholars do not all agree on this issue, SDA scholars. God did give us brains to use and think with. None of my continuing issues have been addressed, just the Bible says such and such along with the human interpretation of the single text. Is it that difficult for persons to understand what all the issues surrounding this question are?
1. God creates a perfect world and says multiply. 2. God gave humans emotions, senses, desires, feeling, etc. 3. God does not say, only for a limited time will you have these attributes. 4. God does not say you will evolve into Angles.
Putting the issues together as a whole and then saying God is doing away with the relationship He formed and sanctioned by suggesting He has something better humankind suggests that it was not the perfect creation but only a step in some process for populating this lonely planet. Sex, desires emotions, feelings were only to accomplish the task of procreation. (Do I hear the Puritan refrain...)
God is now taking away all this and turning everyone into angel like creatures. When does this take place, when do humans notice the changes, losing their sexuality, no concern about those changes, "it's going to be better"?? They don't question any of this in their mind, the one that can make choices or is it that taken away also.
What will the term 'family' mean, it, it, and well some not quite grownup its? What happens to all the animals, same thing? No longer male and female, a distinction of sex or maybe just some things will be changed?
I see a logical God not one who just 'does' things or the fun of it. Create a world habitat, make some procreating beings, fill up it and then change everything. All this just for watching and having fun? He wants a fully inhabited world, speak and its done! He didn't do that, so what is special about the process He initiated and desired?
Since the beginning the idea that SEX is not really all that it's made out to be, has been put forth. It is blamed for the condition of the world. After all, if it were not for emotions, feelings, senses, Adam would never have eaten the 'apple'!!
Do I know the future, nope, but nothing that has been supposed on this issue makes any sense to me or has their been any thing presented to give me an answer. So..."sigh", guess I will just have to take my Bible and wait or the 2nd coming!

So..."sigh", guess I will just have to take my Bible and wait or the 2nd coming! What should we be expected to say, since real scholars do not agree? I would suppose that we will continue in the nature given at creation. And the reason I say this is because the parables in the teachings of Jesus present a recurring theme, comparing the infinite realm of God as like unto our finite world.
