Often text books are a lot more than that.

Turns out he was Canada's only Carnegie Scholar, and not even sure what that is.

We are indeed honored to have Bravus on this board. He's by far the best educated and least pompous of anybody I've met here. To be a teacher-of-teachers [as he is] requires super abilities and super knowledge.

He's a role model for us who would be [or who used to be] teachers.

I'd like to see my grandchildren using your science textbooks, Bravus. I'm going to put a hint in my son's ear, since he's on their school board.

Thanks so much, all: hadn't even seen this thread until just now! In 2010 another set of science textbooks, Science Focus 1, 2 & 4 (I had nothing to do with 3!) will come out, but I'm one of 6 or 7 authors on those, and just did a chapter or so in each. Then possibly in 2011 a co-edited academic book on interdisciplinary science teaching at the university level.

You know the old saw "those who can, do. Those who can't, teach"? Well it doesn't apply to Mr.B. He does both!!! :)
