Hi guys,
Lots of fans here and I am also but I'm also an athlete. I notice there's no specific forum for training/working out/sports nutrition/racing etc. Please redirect me if I missed it.
I already wrote a post about this in the suggestion forum. I guess Stan has the last say about this? The way I figure it, is there probably are quite a few runners, ball players, cyclists, gym rats, triathletes, etc who are Adventists? And since we believe in the health reform message (right?) let's put to practice what we believe.
I'd even be willing to serve as a pro bono, unofficial moderator.

Sounds good Alex, you'll have to wait for a moderator or Stan to do this.

Since I'm new here and only know pkrause, I'm waiting for members to either respond to this post or some kind of call-out? Do you do anything like that e.g. "Any Christian athletes out there who would like to talk about their physical activities?"Pete, do you know of any here? Truthfully, I would be disappointed if there were none. Where are they then? and is health reform only about eating right? Alex

"Any Christian athletes out there who would like to talk about their physical activities?"
Does Wii count? I've been doing a good bit of Wii-ing lately. And I've got a killer golf swing. I just got the Tiger Woods 2010. Not sure that counts as me being an athlete. But it's the best I can do. Trouble is ... I am usually munching on chocolates or cookies while I Wii ... so I am not sure of the health benefits I receive. What do the rest of you eat while you Wii ?

What do the rest of you eat while you Wii ? From what I've seen of the Wii Fit program, it can be quite strenuous. All you need is 20 minutes a day when you can get your heart rate (HR) working at least 75% of max. The easiest formula to use is 220 - your age = max HR, then do the math or go here: http://www.fitzones.com/members/Fitness/heartrate_zones.aspAlex
