I didn't know who they were, until they started playing the theme to CSI-Las Vegas. You would think that they would get people that are little more contemporary.

You all are awful. I thought they did a really nice job. I'd much rather see and hear them perform than many of the currently popular bands. Then again, I've always liked The Who.

P.S. I thought Roger Daltrey looked great!

They did alright for some old rich guys.

And deaf! Don't forget that Pete Townshend is nearly deaf.

I'm hearing a lot of bad reviews on T-V, but even though i don't like their kind of music, i think they did the best show ever for superbowl halftime.

I almost agree with you, but I liked the Bruce Springsteen and the E street band one the best!

The Who were around as early as 1964. For them to be popular enough and recognized enough to play the superbowl halftime 46 years later, hey that's special.

I'm not saying it wasn't special, just enjoy Bruce a lot more. :)

They had an excellent show. Not quite as good as the banjo playing at the local church but it was pretty good. The singer is just getting a little old to be screaming out lyrics.

I never was a big fan of the who. I knew a lot of people who were. Now Led Zeppelin, that's a different story. I think they disbanded awhile ago though.

I did so much sinning when I listened to Led Zeppelin that I almost feel like I am sinning when I hear them again. They are perhaps my favorite of all classic rock bands. They disbanded when their drummer died. Robert Plant and Jimmy Page put out some good music during the '80s.

Now Eric Clapton would make a class act for the Super Bowel.

Super Bowl wants old acts. They don't want to risk any wardrobe malfunctions.

Yeah, I know, one wardrobe malfunction and we have the old acts; so when the EMT's have to rush the stage then we will get the young acts back again.

The Who fits the demographics of those who actually PAY to go to the Super Bowl. The people who pay to see Pink, or Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga or Beyonce are teens and young adults who do not have the income to afford a trip and a ticket to the Super Bowl.

Quite a few young, yuppie types attend the super bowl. The Who played half time because they are The Who, ongoing fallout from the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction, CBS had the superbowl this year, cbs is the network of CSI, & CSI features The Who's music. Don't think for a second that cbs execs did not factor all of that into their decision.
