It's really "blessed are those who wash their robes" in the blood of the Lamb. These people were referred to in Revelation 7, which is, I think, an expansion of this verse.
What is interesting to me is that washing robes in blood makes them white. Most blood is red, I think, including lamb blood. I'm not sure what it means to me yet. Let me ponder.
