Just a question to clarify, Stan...

Are we talking of an actual split, or simply the forming of yet another synod within the Lutheran church?

My wife attends an ELCA synod church, but I've a nephew that attends a Missouri synod church, which is quite a bit more conservative than ELCA...

To my understanding, the Lutheran church has 3 synods I'm fully aware of (ELCA, Missouri, and Wisconsin). Would this be another on top of this?
